Nigerians have expressed concern over their inability to view and download documents on the Budget Office website.
They took to X to vent their frustration on Saturday, after a socio-economic commentator, @lloydatiku drew attention to the development.
“Budget documents are no longer available to Nigerians,” he stated and shared screenshots of the error response he got.
A check by this reporter shows the 2024 Appropriation Act was on display on the website but several attempts to view or download the document, even on different browsers, proved abortive.
A check of other documents on the website also showed similar characteristics.
Commenting on the situation, @spirit124 wrote, “Wow! Lagos pattern. Opaque leadership.”
@stonedeyez1 wrote, “Nigeria my country”, accompanied by laughing emojis.
Another netizen, @C_CDon wrote, “ he most opaque operator of Lagos won’t want any information out there.”
