Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, has bid farewell to Donny van de Beek after the midfielder confirmed his exit from the Premier League club.
Van de Beek signed for United in 2020, joining from Ajax in a £35 million deal.
But the Dutchman failed to impress at Old Trafford, making only 62 appearances during a four-year spell.
Van de Beek went out on loan to Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt in recent seasons and will now join La Liga side Girona this summer.
The transfer deal is worth a reported £420,000 and could rise to £12.7m.
Fernandes, who joined in January before Van de Beek’s arrival, sent a message to his former teammate on social media.
“You deserve the best,” he posted with the addition of a red heart.
