NPFL: Finidi focused on Rivers United after troubled Super Eagles stint

Finidi George has he has moved on from his brief spell with the Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports.

The 53-year-old was in charge of the three-time African champions for around a month.

Finidi resigned as Super Eagles head coach last month after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced it will appoint a foreign technical adviser to boss him.

The Super Eagles recorded one win in four games under his tutelage.

The former Ajax winger was appointed Rivers United head coach on Wednesday.

Finidi penned a two-year contract with the former Nigeria Premier Football League champions.

“My job with the Super Eagles did not work out, I have to move on and impact our league here. You can’t just be idle as a coach,” he said at his unveiling ceremony.
