Man dies after being stabbed in a fight in central London

A man has been stabbed and killed after a fight in London.

The stabbing happened on Bell Street, next to Edgware Road underground station, at 10.40pm on Tuesday.

At least one gunshot was also fired, it has been reported.

The man in his 20s died at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services.

The station on the Bakerloo line is currently closed while police carry out an investigation.

TfL confirmed that London Underground tickets will be accepted on bus services.

Three men have been arrested and remain in custody.

Police believe they know who the man is and are working to inform his next of kin.

The area around the station has been cordoned off since 10.30pm last night.

Bell Street has been closed since 11pm last night and has now been cordoned off for more than eight hours.

Buses 6, 16, and 98 are currently in operation but are on diversion.
