Train rock band founder Charlie Colin has died aged 58 after falling in the shower.
The bassist’s mother confirmed his death to TMZ and said he slipped and fell in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium.
She said it was unclear exactly when the accident happened as he had been alone in the house.
Colin’s body was found by his friends when they returned from their trip five days later.
Paying tribute, his mother called him a ‘beautiful human being.’
Colin was a founding member of the hit 00s band Train but was reportedly forced to leave due to substance abuse issues.
Train achieved success with their self-titled debut album in 1998 and were known for hits such as Drops of Jupiter, Meet Virginia and Hey, Soul Sister.
The band won two Grammy awards in 2002, one for best rock song and the other for best instrumental arrangement accompanying vocalists
