Nigeria records 462 new COVID-19 cases, toll now 43,151

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 462 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, as toll hits 43,151.

The agency made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Friday.
According to the agency, 93 new cases of the virus were reported in the FCT, followed by Lagos State with 78 new cases, 64 in Plateau State, 54 in Kaduna State, 47 in Oyo State, 32 in Ondo State, 23 in Adamawa State, 19 in Bauchi State.

Others are: Nine in Rivers State, nine in Ogun State, nine in Delta State, seven in Edo State, six in Kano State, six in Enugu State, five in Nasarawa State and one in Osun State.

The 462 new cases brought the nation’s confirmed COVID-19 infection cases to 43,151.
So far, as of 31st July, there were 43,151 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria; 19,565 discharged, with 879 deaths.
