As ex-President Donald Trump waits with no control over his fate while 12 New York jurors in his hush money trial deliberate, it’s been revealed how he’s passing the time.
Trump appeared light-spirited as his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, recorded a video of him sitting at a table in a room at Manhattan Criminal Court.
The table had a bag of Lay’s classic chips, a Diet Coke bottle and a plate with boxes of Milk Duds and Whoopers candies and other junk food, which the former president is known to love.
Trump Jr said in his TikTok post shared on Wednesday, the first day of jury deliberations, that he was there with ‘your favorite president’.

‘We’re cranking out a couple mean tweets in the courthouse,’ said Trump Jr. ‘Why don’t you read that last one ’cause it’s pretty..’
Trump cut in: ‘Yeah, I’m gonna put it out instead of reading it but uh, I know my son’s doing very well on social media. I’m proud of him.’
His son concluded with, ‘Stay tuned, it’ll be a doozy.’
It was not clear which post Trump Jr was referring to. Trump has not posted on X (formerly Twitter) since sharing his infamous mugshot from the Georgia election interference case.

The ex-president and Republican 2024 presidential candidate has been ranting on his Truth Social platform throughout the trial, which centers around a $130,000 hush payment his ex-fixer Michael Cohen made to porn star Stormy Daniels to silence her on an alleged sexual affair.
Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records and denied reimbursing Cohen and such an encounter with Daniels.
One post by Trump on Wednesday read: ‘Crooked Joe Biden just announced that he will speak, for a change, at the end of his trial against me.
‘Yesterday he sent his mentally challenged servant, former actor Robert De Niro, to create a little chaos in front of the Courthouse, and to influence the trial. Election Interference!!!’

Trump has been pushing the limits of a gag order in his hush money case, facing fines for violations but continuing to send fiery posts. Justice Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the trial, has threatened to place Trump in jail for future violations.
The former president and his team have been watching news coverage of the trial on a TV in their waiting room, two sources with knowledge on the setup told CNN on Thursday as jurors deliberated on a verdict for the second day.
Trump also watched video clips of his allies defending him on TV that were sent to him and his advisers in the courthouse, one of the sources added.
The jury could deliberate for hours, days, or weeks more. If convicted, Trump faces a sentence ranging from probation to four years in prison. But a criminal conviction would not prohibit him from continuing to run for president.
