Three-year-old Maria Botezatu and her mother Roxana Lazar (Picture: Kent Police)
An urgent police hunt has been launched for a three-year-old girl and her mother who disappeared two days ago,
Roxana Lazar, 25, and her young daughter Maria Botezatu were last seen on Tuesday in Chatham, Kent.
There has been no trace of the two since then and police are ‘concerned for their welfare’.
The pair are still believed to be in Medway, a borough that includes the town of Rochester less than a mile north of Chatham.
Roxana is described as slim with brown hair and brown eyes, with her daughter having a similar appearance.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Scott Relf said: ‘We do not have a full description of what Roxana or Maria were wearing when they were last seen, but we hope the photos may help the public in reporting any sightings.
‘We believe that they are still in the Medway area and are really concerned for their welfare and want to assure Roxana that she is not in trouble but we do need to find her to ensure she and Maria are both ok.’
Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 999 quoting reference 21- 0594.
