DSS debunk reports of storming Emir’s palace in wake of Emirate councils dissolution

The Department of State Security, DSS, has described as untrue and fabricated reports that its operatives stormed the Kano Emir’s palace in the wake of the sacking of the five Emirates Council of the state.

The State Director of the DSS in Kano, Muhammad Alhassan, said there was no incident of the Emir’s palace invasion as reported in the Media.

He explained that what was misconstrued was the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu’s earlier planned visit to the Emir’s palace, saying the first lady had a scheduled visit to Kano on an assignment and also planned to visit the Emir’s Palace but learned that the Emir was out of town and postponed her visit.

“We drafted our men as part of our schedules on the visit of the First Lady Oluremi Tinubu but learned that she was not going there anymore and we withdrew our men”, he added.

Therefore the story that our men stormed the Emirates Council in the wake of the happenings with regards to the Emir is false and malicious and did not happen.
