Thierry Henry is ‘worried’ that Arsenal may have burnt out after two failed Premier League title battles with Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side clinched the top-flight trophy for the sixth time in seven seasons on Sunday thanks to a 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad.

It marked another painful season for Arsenal – who missed out on last season’s title despite topping the table for 248 days – the most for a team who failed to win the title in English top-flight history.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has insisted that Premier League glory is eventually coming to the Emirates but Henry has cast doubt over his old club’s credentials.

‘Rodri missed some games, Kevin De Bruyne missed some games, Phil Foden wasn’t the answer for a long time but this year he answered every single call,’ Henry told Premier League Productions.

‘They found a way. What they did is just stupid. It’s not like they wait two years and do it a bit after… They do it all the time.

‘One thing that worries me, is that every time a team tries to stay with them and keep the pace, they burn their wings.

‘Every time they implode. Look at Liverpool. They couldn’t deal with it. I hope Arsenal can stay in the rhythm because it is not easy.’

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arteta has warned that the north Londoners may need 100 points to finish above City in the future.

‘When you look in the last 15 to 20 years of this league, the competition wasn’t like it is today and for sure [89 points] you are champion,’ Arteta said.

‘But it is not enough. This is as well probably we are getting better and better and better and faster because someone is so good that you have to chase it. That is what makes you good as well. That’s it. We cannot feel sorry for ourselves guys. We tried, we are improving. It was an unbelievable season again but we are not champions and that is the reality.

‘I was there [as assistant manager] when [City] did 100 points so I know what it takes. I know what happened and this is the level. No one has to explain what the level is because I was there four years every day and I know what we have to do if we are going to reach there.

‘Not only for one season, but for the rest, but we are on the right path, the right journey and to see the evolution so quickly happening, I haven’t seen it before. So, we’re on the right trajectory and now we need really to pull the teeth and bite into it because we really want more.’
