Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has told the Batch ‘A’ stream ll outgoing National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members in the state to be diligent and ensure they fulfill their purpose.
Speaking at the passing out parade of the Batch ‘A’Stream II at NYSC Orientation Camp Wannune, Alia commended the Corps members for their demonstration of good conduct and high level of commitment.
He saluted their ability to integrate freely among themselves while keeping aside the diversities of their backgrounds.
Alia advised them to remain diligent in carrying out all assignments given to them, just as he assured them that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure their security and safety in the state.
The governor also promised to sustain the payment of N15,000 to all Corps members and N100,000 to Corps members who are medical doctors across the State.
The governor, who observed the enormous damage caused by erosion on the camp during his earlier visit, directed the immediate construction of drainages.
He applauded the NYSC Benue State Coordinator, Mr Abe Ashumate, his Management Team, and other camp officials for their exemplary leadership and care towards Corps members.
