Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi are expected to be fit in a double injury boost for Crystal Palace ahead of their Premier League clash against Manchester United on Monday.

Eze had been in sublime form, helping Palace win three consecutive games against Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle but missed their 1-1 draw with Fulham with a knee problem.

Guehi, meanwhile, has been a long-term absentee since undergoing an operation on his knee in late February.

But the pair have now returned to first-team training and are set to be included in the squad for Monday’s game against United.

‘It’s very positive news – both of them are fit,’ Palace bass Oliver Glasner said speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

‘Both trained – the players were off after Sunday and we started yesterday preparing them for the Man United game.

‘Both trained in the full session and again today, so it looks good. If everything continues as we expect, both will be in the squad.’

While Eze has enjoyed a new lease a life since Glasner’s arrival, Guehi has yet to take the field for Palace since the former Eintracht Frankfurt head coach’s appointment.

The centre-back is expected to renew his formidable partnership with Joachim Andersen as he eyes a place in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad for this summer’s European Championship.

‘He worked very hard in rehab. It took maybe one or two weeks longer than we all hoped, but he has such a great working attitude,’ Glasner added.

‘I see his working attitude, he’s outstanding. He’s got a lot of quality but he is also very professional, hard-working, always wanting to improve.

‘He is getting back to the team now with rehab. He is a fantastic player and we will support him as well as we can.

‘We hope he plays some good games for us and for England in the Euros.’
