Three arrested for murder after woman in her 20s found dead at home

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in Bewdley, Worcestershire.

The body of the woman, in her 20s, was discovered at a home on Wassell Drive, a residential road half a mile northeast of the town centre, yesterday evening.

Two women and a man have been arrested and remain in custody.

The family of the victim, who has not been named by police, have been informed of her death.

Police said in a statement today: ‘Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman in her 20s was found dead at a home in Bewdley yesterday evening.

‘Police were called to the address on Wassell Drive at around 5.10pm.

‘Two women and a man have been arrested and currently remain in police custody.

‘The woman’s family have been informed and will be supported by a specially trained Family Liaison Officer.

‘Local residents can expect an increased police presence in the area for their reassurance and whilst the early stages of the investigation are carried out.’
