Rio Ferdinand aimed a dig at Arsenal after his former club Manchester United squeezed past Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday.
United required extra-time and penalties to beat their second-tier opponents with Ferdinand’s reaction to the game uploaded on his YouTube channel after the win.
Ferdinand was being interviewed by his fellow FIVE podcast co-host Joel Beya, who is an Arsenal supporter, from his car window as he took aim at the Gunners.
Beya, pictured with a cigar in his hand, teased Ferdinand for trying to put a positive spin on United’s narrow victory.
Beya told Ferdinand that United’s performance was ‘shocking’ and ‘poor’ as Ferdinand hit back and said: ‘This is coming from an Arsenal supporter.
‘So it’s fine. Why you got the cigar out? Your season is smoked! (laughs). There’s games to be played, games in hand.’
Ferdinand was trolled by Arsenal fans during a flight to Porto earlier this season after he publicly insisted that Bukayo Saka was not world class.

The 45-year-old argued that Saka cannot be considered world class because has not proven himself in the ‘nitty-gritty stages’ of the Champions League.
Ferdinand was serenaded by Arsenal supporters on the aeroplane with chants of ‘Saka’s world class’.
Arsenal sit top of the league on 74 points after Saturday’s win at Wolves but they can be leapfrogged by third-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
Liverpool, who are second, also have 74 points with Jurgen Klopp firing a warning to Arsenal and City after his side defeated Fulham this weekend.
Meanwhile, Liverpool star Trent-Alexander Arnold admitted that Arsenal’s victory over Wolves was ‘big’ and that he and his teammates watched the game.
‘It was a very important result for us [against Fulham],’ he told Sky Sports. ‘We saw Arsenal win last night, it was a big one. We need five big ones, five finals.’
