A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a five-star hotel in Surrey.
Police were called to the Pennyhill Park Hotel in the village of Bagshot at 8.43am last Sunday, the Sun reported.
The body of the woman, who was in her 50s, was earlier discovered by an ambulance crew.
Surrey Police said the 60-year-old man who was arrested is believed to be known to the victim.
A spokesperson said: “‘A 60-year-old man from Devon has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at this time.
‘It is believed that the victim and suspect were known to each other.
‘An investigation, led by Surrey Police and Sussex Police’s Major Crime Team, is underway to establish the circumstances of the woman’s death. These enquiries remain ongoing.’
