The All Progressives Congress (APC) has raked in N660 million from the sale of Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to 14 aspirants contesting for its ticket ahead of the November 16, 2024 Ondo State governorship election.
LEADERSHIP reports that both Nomination and Expression of Interest forms cost N10 million and N40 million, respectively. 13 male aspirants obtained the forms with only one female contender who obtained only the expression of interest form.
It was gathered from the party’s Directorate of Organisation at the close of sale of the forms on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 that at least 14 aspirants have purchased the forms.
The aspirants include incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa; Funmilayo Mary Waheed Adekojo, the only female aspirant; Olusoji Adewale Ehinlanwo; Okunjimi Odimayo John;
Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Folorunsho, and the APC National Vice Chairman (South-West), Duerimini Isaacs Kekemeke.
Others include Akinfolarin Mayowa Samuel; Adewale Okumuyiwa Akinterinwa; Olugbenga Omogbemi Edema; Olusola Alexander Oke, SAN; Prof. Adedayo Faduyile; Retired Brigadier-General Felix Olamide Ohunyeye, and former Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa.
Thus, Governor Aiyedatiwa will be slugging it out with 13 other aspirants to clinch the governorship ticket of the ruling party at the primary election slated for April 20, 2024.
