The Bavarian heavyweights are now odds-on favourites at 1/2 to conclude a deal for the England international.

And those odds could again shorten with Bayern Munich poised to improve on their £81.7million proposal.

Sky Sports claim that Thomas Tuchel’s side are set to submit a more substantial offer to the Premier League side, and are ‘confident’ of striking a deal.

Kane will reportedly be offered a lucrative five-year deal, and the bid will dwarf the £70million Bayern’s club-record deal they paid Atletico Madrid for Lucas Hernandez in 2019.

Spurs have already rejected Bayern’s first two bids but a third could be successful with Joe Lewis having told chairman Daniel Levy to sell to avoid losing Kane on a free transfer.

Kane is understood to have held talks with manager Tuchel, while his wife Katie was also reportedly in Munich looking for a house last month.

The German champions are convinced Spurs’ record goalscorer wants to join them.

And Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer recently added fuel to the fire in a recent interview with German magazine Kicker.

He said: “I don’t think the Bundesliga has so many international stars anymore.

“That influences to the way the Bundesliga is marketed internationally. FC Bayern are always trying to bring in international stars to make us and the Bundesliga better.

“Harry Kane is definitely a very attractive player, captain and top scorer of the English national team, top scorer. He would be good for Bayern and the Bundesliga.”

As a result, Kane is now 7/4 to still be a Tottenham player after September’s deadline.

Manchester United have drifted to 11/1 with Rasmus Hojlund close to joining, while Paris Saint-Germain are further behind at 16/1.
