Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has left the England camp in what could be a major injury blow for the Gunners.
The north Londoners travel to the Etihad after the international break to face Premier League title rivals Manchester City on March 31.
Saka’s fitness has now been thrown into doubt for that clash with the winger absent from England group training on Wednesday before making a decision leave the camp on Thursday.
‘Bukayo Saka has left the #ThreeLions camp and returned to his club for continued rehabilitation on an injury he reported to St. George’s Park with,’ England posted on X. ‘Speedy recovery, @BukayoSaka87!’
The Three Lions are getting ready for Euro 2024 with friendlies against Brazil and Belgium on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.
Saka has arguably been Arsenal’s most important player this season, producing 13 goals and eight assists across 27 Premier League games.
He is hoping to help the Gunners land their first top-flight title in 20 years after they pushed Pep Guardiola’s side all the way last term.
