This year is already promised to be a great one for live music in the UK – and now things have got even better after a string of pop and rock icons announced huge shows.
In April, Manchester will open its brand new Co-op Live Arena, a 23,500-capacity purpose-built concert venue – American rock band the Black Keys will be the first musical act to perform there.
Earlier this week, Fleetwood Mac singer and legendary rockstar Stevie Nicks announced her first string of consecutive UK shows since way back in 1989, with concerts pencilled in for Glasgow, Manchester, and London.
And as if that wasn’t enough, a string of huge music icons from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s have announced a run of gigs in the UK over the summer and autumn periods.
Let’s have a look at who’s gracing UK stages in the next few months.
Stevie Nicks

Fleetwood Mac legend and rock singer Stevie Nicks last played a string of shows in the UK in 1989 – but that’s about to change, with a run of dates planned for July 2024.
The iconic American singer and songwriter, 75, is down to play shows in Glasgow (July 6), Manchester (July 9), and then London as part of Hyde Park’s BST festival (July 12), with an earlier date also pencilled in for Dublin (July 3).
That Glasgow concert will be Stevie’s first show in the UK of any kind since before the Covid pandemic – she last performed as part of Fleetwood Mac at Wembley Stadium in 2019.

Seventies rock legends the Electric Light Orchestra have announced that their next tour, which has been given the name Over and Out, will be their last ever, after performing to devoted audiences for over 50 years.
The current iteration of the band features only one of the original members, Jeff Lynne, who the group are currently named after. Meanwhile, keyboardist and guitarist Richard Tandy – who joined the band in 1971 – will accompany him.
No UK dates have been announced for the Over and Out tour just yet but a massive string of shows in the United States have been confirmed, indicating that a European leg and a UK leg of the tour will be announced imminently.
