The UK will see both freezing and mild temperatures, the Met Office forecast shows.
Rainfall will continue to hit parts of the country, with wintry shows moving across the north on Sunday.
But the weather will remain milder in the south of England, with some places in the south experiencing higher than average temperatures.
St James Park in London crossed 18C on Thursday.
Meanwhile snowfall is expected in the Scottish highlands as temperatures continue to dip in northern areas.
But despite the warming temperatures, southern regions will see some heavy rainfall.
Alex Deakin, meteorologist at the Met Office, said: ‘There will be some pretty hefty showers around on Friday, another pretty mild one across the south, never a dry picture when low pressure is dominating, sitting right across the UK.’

Northern regions may experience colder air due to northernly winds, with the southeast possibly seeing some snow.
This is due to a ‘mild Atlantic flow’, which brings warm air, while a ‘cool northernly wind’ allows temperatures to dip.
