Chelsea may face competition from Newcastle and Arsenal as well as a host of other top European clubs if they are to sign highly-rated midfielder Mario Dorgeles this summer, according to reports.
Dorgeles, who plays for Danish side FC Nordsjaelland, is still a bit-part player for the Superliga side and has not started a game for the club since the turn of the year.
Despite that, the midfielder has still managed to attract the interest of Chelsea who have sent their scouts to watch the 19-year-old in action, according to Danish outlet Tipsbladet.
Through their links with the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, Nordsjaelland have signed a number of young African prospects before selling them on for a healthy profit
In 2020, the club sold Mohammed Kudus to Ajax prior to his switch to West Ham and, two years ago, sold winger Simon Adingra to Brighton for £6million.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side, however, will face competition for Dorgeles’ signature, with French clubs Lille and Monaco also scouting out a move for the midfielder.
And, according to the Chronicle Live, both Arsenal and Newcastle are also interested in signing the 19-year-old in the summer.

Newcastle are said to have been made aware of the Ivorian’s talents by Dan Ashworth, the club’s former sporting director who has been placed on gardening leave following an approach from Manchester United.
Although the potential signing of Dorgeles may not require Todd Boehly to stump up a significant fee, the Blues will have to be wary given their financial situation,
Having spent £1billion on new signings since taking over, Chelsea will have to prioritise outgoings early in the window after it was announced that they had made a pre-tax loss of £90.1m in the year to 30 June 2023.
