Fire officials in Manchester have told Trafford Park locals to ‘close their windows’ following reports of a ‘gas or chemical leak’.
Emergency services are on the scene on Tenax Road with a cordon stretching 300 metres in place.
Manchester Evening News understands the suspected chemical leak is in the Lanxess Solutions building, with the chemical believed to be phosphorus oxychloride, a vital component of insecticides and chemical warfare agents.
