The Victoria line is facing ‘severe delays’ after a fire alert at Tottenham Hale.

Pictures show police and firefighters outside the station, which had been closed off to commuters.

Transport for London (TfL) said there was no service between Walthamstow Central and Highbury & Islington due to the alert.

There are also severe delays on the rest of the line – although the line suspension was lifted at around 6.30am on Wednesday.

Overall the rest of the London Underground network is running fairly smoothly this morning, however the Bakerloo line is part suspended between Queens Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to a points failure.

There are also minor delays between Moor Park and Chesham on the Metropolitan line due to train cancellations.
