British tourists ‘brawl with Thai sex workers’ after row breaks out over payment

Tourists sparked ‘World War III’ over the price of Thai sex workers at a sex party where one Brit was stabbed and five other people were injured.

A terrified neighbour watched from a balcony as a fight broke out between the holidaymakers and naked sex workers on the Thai island of Phuket earlier today (February 22).

The chaotic scene was captured in video footage showing the sex workers running naked into the street as the two groups threw glasses and pots at each other over the garden wall.

Blood was splattered across the walls inside the property. Broken glass, empty bottles and cigarettes covered the walls.

In the clip, the neighbour can be heard saying: ‘My god, they’re killing each other over there.’

They added: ”It was like World War III. Everything was being thrown around. I wanted to get a helmet for my own safety.’

The British holidaymakers had allegedly called the three sex workers to their villa in the Kata district of the popular holiday island in the early hours of Thursday morning.

But one of the sex workers felt shortchanged after two of them were asked to leave, with the group of British tourists only paying the remaining sex worker 2,000 Baht, or £44, which was have the rate said to have been agreed.

One of the escorts then allegedly grabbed a wallet belonging to one of the Brits, sparking a fight that spilled out onto the street.

Police found one of the Brits with a stab wound to his stomach when they arrived at the scene shortly after 4am.

The man was allegedly stabbed with a kitchen knife when one of the escorts grabbed an item from the drawers during the brawl.

He was treated at the scene and bandaged before being rushed to hospital.

The other two were treated for minor injuries at the Phuket’s Dibuk Hospital.

Both were also British, according to the police, who questioned those involved. Police are also interviewing the owner of the property rented by the tourists.

One of the escorts, who sustained head and arm injuries, was taken to Chalong Hospital.

The other two sex workers sustained minor injuries and were taken to Karon police station for further questioning and legal proceedings.

Police Captain Surasak Sudmuang added: ‘We do not have the details of everybody involved in the case and we have not charged anybody yet.

‘We are still waiting for all of the tourists to return from the hospital to give statements at the police station.

‘The prostitutes told us that the tourists started the fight. We must check both sides of the dispute.
