Tottenham are confident that Ange Postecoglou will remain at the club, despite interest from Liverpool.
The Australian has attracted the attention of the Reds following Jurgen Klopp’s shock announcement that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
While Xabi Alonso, the Bayer Leverkusen coach, is the Reds’ first choice to replace Klopp, there is no guarantee that the Spaniard would accept any proposal.
Liverpool have therefore widened their scope and Postecoglou’s impact at Tottenham has not gone unnoticed.
After three years under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, Spurs are playing fantastic football under Postecoglou.
That’s despite the fact that Harry Kane was sold last summer, but the Australian has quickly implemented his own style of play in north London.

With Xavi leaving Barcelona and Thomas Tuchel under pressure at Bayern Munich, there could be a number of high profile jobs available this summer.
Liverpool therefore want to move quickly but the Telegraph say Spurs are not worried about Postcoglou leaving the club.
Postecoglou stands to earn significant bonuses if Spurs finish in the top four, and he’s said to be happy in London.
The former Celtic boss is not even 12 months into a four-year deal that he signed with the club last summer.
