Chelsea legend Joe Cole has laughed off suggestions that Arsenal are a top side, insisting that they have won nothing.
Many pundits tipped Arsenal for Premier League glory at the start of the season after they pushed Manchester City all the way last term before finishing second.
Arsenal currently sit second in the table after 22 games in the current campaign, although leaders Liverpool and third-placed City both have games in hand.
The Gunners have won the FA Cup two Community Shields since Mikel Arteta became manager in 2019 but Cole is not convinced by the north Londoners.
Appearing on Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE podcast alongside fellow pundit Peter Crouch, Cole was told that he had upset some Arsenal fans over his past comments.
Cole, who won three Premier League titles and lifted two FA Cups with Chelsea, looked confused and asked what he had said to anger Arsenal fans, before being informed that he had previously stated Arteta’s side were not ‘top draw’.
‘They’re not though!’ Cole said. ‘How can they be top draw if they haven’t won anything?’

Crouch, sat awkwardly in the middle of Cole and FIVE host Joel Baya during the squabble, then chimed in and added: ‘He’s doubling down!’
Cole could not wipe the smile off his face having made the remark as Arsenal fan Baya continually tried to argue why the Gunners were in fact a top side.
‘We’ll get into it later,’ Cole said as he laughed off the suggestion. ‘We’ll get into that.’
