Andre Onana is again considering his international future after the Manchester United goalkeeper’s failed Africa Cup of Nations campaign with Cameroon.
The United shot stopper was named in the Indomitable Lions squad for this month’s competition in Ivory Coast, leaving Manchester following the 2-2 draw with Tottenham.
He missed Cameroon’s group opener after joining up with the squad late due to his participation in that fixture, starting in the 3-1 defeat to Senegal where he was at fault for two goals in a disappointing display.
Cameroon boss Rigobert Song dropped the United star from his starting XI for the following game with Onana replaced by his cousin Fabrice Ondoa for the final group game against Gambia.
Onana was again among the subs as his nation crashed out of the competition at the last 16 stage following a 2-0 defeat to Nigeria.
Onana retired from international football in December 2022 after leaving the Cameroon camp during the World Cup in Qatar but made a U-turn on that decision last September, just months after joining United from Inter Milan.
The Daily Mail now report Onana could now quit international football again in the wake of that disastrous tournament.

After being dropped for the group stage game against Gambia, reports claimed Onana was furious with the decision and clashed with Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation.
The two reportedly had a ‘verbal altercation’ during a dismal campaign for the African nation which ended on Saturday night.
