Southgate has a plethora of options available to him (Picture: Getty)
England manager Gareth Southgate certainly won’t be short of options when he comes around to selecting his 23-man squad for Euro 2024 this summer.
The Three Lions are bursting with some of the finest players in the world, and are one of the favourites to go all the way and finally end their almost 60 years of hurt on the international stage.
And whilst Southgate will likely already have an idea as to the make-up of his squad, a number of players could still force their way onto the plane for their Group C fixtures and potentially beyond – including a host of stars who have even yet to feature for the national team.
Metro.co.uk takes a look at seven uncapped England players who could squeeze their way into the England squad for this summer’s tournament in Germany.
Anthony Gordon
The winger has enjoyed a stellar campaign for Newcastle, having taken his time to find his feet in the last campaign following his move from Everton in January 2023.

Gordon’s performances for The Magpies have seemingly justified his £45m price tag, with the 22 year-old scoring seven goals and providing five assists in his first 20 Premier League appearances this term.
Gordon was named Player of the Tournament as England won the UEFA European Under 21 Championship in 2023.
Curtis Jones
The Liverpool star has struggled for game time at various points this season, with suspension and a couple of injuries resulting in a frustrating first half of the campaign.

However, there is no doubt that Jones has earnt the trust of Jurgen Klopp, and he could come into Southgate’s thinking if England are hit with injuries in the centre of the park.
Jones has amassed plenty of experience at England U21 level, and scored the winning goal – as well being awarded the man of the match – in the Euro U21 final against Spain last summer.
Jacob Ramsey
Ramsey played a starring role in Unai Emery’s instant transformation of Aston Villa last season, with his ball-carrying capabilities drawing comparisons with former fan favourite Jack Grealish.

The midfielder has been restricted to a watching brief for much of this campaign, however, owing to a persistent foot complaint.
But if Ramsey can stay injury free between now and the end of the season, and recapture his form from last year, then it could be enough to make Southgate consider him as a wildcard for his squad.
Ezri Konsa
Konsa was called up to his first England squad for the November internationals after Lewis Dunk was forced to pull out due to injury.

The Aston Villa defender didn’t make it onto the pitch during the international window, but his inclusion in the squad would have given Southgate an opportunity to assess him up close.
Konsa has played almost every minute for Villa in the Premier League this season, with his dominant performances at the back helping the club into Champions League contention.
Harvey Elliott
Elliott is increasingly growing in influence at Anfield, with a number of impressive displays from the bench.

Speaking after Elliott scored a dramatic injury time winner against Crystal Palace in December, Reds legend Jamie Carragher praised the midfielder as a ‘super sub’ and insisted ‘every game he makes a difference from the bench.’
Elliott is likely in the same boat as his Liverpool teammate Jones, in that the Three Lions would probably need to suffer a number of midfield casualties for him to take his place at the tournament.
Jarrad Branthwaite
Branthwaite has been nothing short of a revelation at the back for Everton this season, having returned from his fruitful loan spell at PSV last season.

His performances for The Toffees have even seen him attract reported interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United, such has been his impact at Goodison.
Euro 2024 may, in reality, come too soon for Branthwaite, although his inclusion in the final squad would give him vital tournament experience ahead of what could be a long England career.
Max Kilman
The Wolves captain has been continually overlooked by Southgate despite hardly putting a foot wrong at the Midlands club.

Southgate has made several trips to Molineux in the past year, and Kilman has surely been part of the manger’s thinking for previous squads.
The 6ft 4in centre back, who has been praised for his ball-playing abilities, has played every minute for Wolves this season.
