A convicted serial sex killer has been detained in Russia after the bodies of two escorts were found.

Reports say one of the women’s heads was severed in a grim attempted beheading.

Alexei Varakin, 37, had recently been released after he was locked up in 2010 for the murder of two prostitutes.

He has now been detained in connection with these two latest deaths.

‌Law enforcement says he killed the two latest escorts after he ‘was unable to have sexual intercourse with them’ which made him furious, according to Russian news outlet Shot.

‌Police say the beheaded remains of Olga Vorobyova, 40, were found near a hotel where they allegedly met in Moscow district Izmailovo.
