A US Governor is facing intense backlash after posting a bizarre video of himself singing the Christmas song ‘Feliz Navidad’.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis released the Christmas message as his state struggles with a significant immigration crisis – days after Denver received 16 busloads of migrants.
Polis, 48, was seen laughing and dancing as he sang an acapella rendition of José Feliciano’s hit 1970 song, and captioned it: ‘¡Feliz Navidad Colorado!’
The lawmaker shared the clip on his official Spanish X account, but viewers didn’t seem to see any festive cheer, with many branding it cringeworthy.
Journalist Mindy Robinson wrote that she cringed so hard, she cracked a tooth.
Others asked if the video was an audition tape for Saturday Night Live, and called it the worst thing they had seen in 2023.

Jeff Carter asked: ‘What kind of humiliation ritual is this?’
‘How is this not mocking Latinos?’ Billy Lee replied, while Junior Nunez added: ‘Oh, Colorado is in so much trouble.’
The American Immigration Council reports that Colorado has a high level of immigrants, many of whom hail from Mexico.
They said: ‘Nearly one in eight Coloradan workers is an immigrant, as well as one in six business owners in the state’s densely populated Denver metro area.’
Earlier this month, the Denver Post reported: ’A busload of migrants was dropped off outside the Colorado Capitol building in Denver on Monday morning in what a city official believes is the latest in a wave of buses chartered by the Texas state government.’
