However, Nigeria’s culinary offerings have been increasingly sought after worldwide, as indicated by a recent Google list.
Google unveiled the top 10 trending recipes in Nigeria for the year 2023. This list features the Sex on the Beach Recipe, a cocktail typically crafted with vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, and orange juice.
Also among the list is the Chin Chin Recipe, a popular snack—a deep-fried pastry made from a simple dough of flour, sugar, milk, and occasionally eggs, flavoured with nutmeg.
A traditional Nigerian delicacy known as the Black Soup Recipe, prominent in the South-south region among the Edo people, is made from three leaves: scent leaf, uziza leaf, and bitter leaf.
Additionally, the fish roll recipe, a type of pastry filled with a blend of fish, spices, and sometimes vegetables, is enclosed in a thin layer of dough and then deep-fried or baked, served as a snack.
The list includes the pancake recipe, a common favourite made by mixing flour, milk, eggs, and baking powder to create a batter, poured onto a hot griddle or pan and cooked until golden brown.
