Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Dortmund winger Donyell Malen for around £26million.
The Dutchman, who came through Ajax’s academy before joining Arsenal, has lost his place at the Bundesliga giants in recent months.
Malen has made just one substitute appearance since November, but he still has five goals in 20 appearances this season.
The winger joined Dortmund in a £25m deal from PSV in 2021, and it was during his time in Holland that he caught Erik ten Hag’s eyes.
The Dutchman wants to sign a new winger after ostracising Jadon Sancho, and Dortmund are interested in signing their former playmaker.
However, the Germans cannot afford his £300,000-a-week wages and Malen had been suggested as part of a part-exchange.

But United see Sancho as a standalone asset, and any move for Malen is seen as separate.
According to the Times, Dortmund are happy to sell Malen and are seeking a £26m fee for the 23-year-old.
Despite crashing out of Europe, it’s a fee that United could manage in January.
The club will look to offload the likes of Donny van de Beek, Raphael Varane and Sancho to raise funds.
