A 10-year-old boy has died after a monkey tore out his intestines near a temple in India.

The schoolboy and his friends were playing near a temple in Salki when a ‘notorious gang of monkeys’ attacked them.

An official told local media: ‘His intestines were ripped out in the attack. He rushed to his house and was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.’

The monkey had jumped on the boy and cut him, before digging its claws inside of him, according to NDTV.

The attack is the third by the ‘monkey gang’ this week alone, officials said, and forest official Vishal Chaudhary said he’s been trying to nab the vicious animals for a while.

‘We have rescued two langurs in the past week and set up cages to trap another langur.

‘There is a large troop of monkeys in the village, including four adults who have been involved in attacks in the past week.

‘Two of them have been rescued. Efforts are on to cage another.’

Last year, a terrifying video showed the moment an escaped monkey brutally attacked a two-year-old Ukrainian refugee.

Her screams were heard by her parents who rushed outside and attempted to scare away the monkey.

Little Paulina was in intensive care after the horrific ordeal, with her wounds described as ‘severe’.

One city in Japan was also under siege by vicious monkeys, who attacked more than 60 people before a special hunting unit was brought in to remove the primates.
