Alejandro Garnacho has urged Manchester United fans to ‘keep believing’ in the team following their dramatic 1-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday.

The Red Devils have been under huge pressure amid a poor start to the season, with reports that United were considering replacements for boss Erik ten Hag.

United’s players have also been criticised with club legend Wayne Rooney urging the squad to take responsibility for the growing levels of scrutiny on their manager.

As United warmed up for this weekend’s match at Craven Cottage, a huge banner was spotted in the away end which read: ‘Play like you mean it.’

United’s players responded by picking up three points, which were secured by Bruno Fernandes’ late winner.

They will now hope that Saturday’s triumph in west London will be a turning point and Garnacho has taken to Instagram to fire a message to the club’s supporters.

‘Play like you mean it!’ he posted along with a handshake emoji. ‘Keep believing in us… [Bruno Fernandes was] the main man!’

Garnacho completed 90 minutes and impressed in the victory, with the Argentine unlucky to miss out on an assist after VAR ruled out a goal for Scott McTominay.

The 19-year-old had made a total of 13 appearances this season, providing one goal, which came in Carabao Cup win over Crystal Palace in September.

Garnacho has been slammed for his ‘childish’ and ‘baby-level’ behaviour this term and also made headlines for using a gorilla emoji on a picture with a black team-mate.
