Chelsea will host Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup quarter final, while Liverpool will play West Ham.

Elsewhere, Everton face Fulham at Goodison Park, while League One side Port Vale have been drawn against Middlesbrough.

Chelsea reached the last eight of the competition after goals from Benoit Badiashile and Raheem Sterling sealed a 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.

Newcastle, meanwhile, piled more pressure on Erik ten Hag at Manchester United as they dumped the Carabao Cup holders out of the competition with a 3-0 win at Old Trafford.

Liverpool required a sublime goal from Darwin Nunez to help secure a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, while West Ham ensured Declan Rice endured a miserable return to the London Stadium as David Moyes’ side sealed a 3-1 victory against Arsenal.

Everton sealed a 3-0 win over Burnley to secure their place in the Carabao Cup quarter final, while Fulham ran out 3-1 winners over Championship high-flyers Ipswich Town.

Port Vale beat Mansfield on Tuesday night to book their place in the last eight of the Carabao Cup, while Middlesbrough edged out Exeter City in a thrilling 3-2 victory.

The Carabao Cup quarter-final ties will take place in the week commencing December 18.
