Thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes and hotels as the holiday island of Tenerife has been hit by wildfires.
Firefighters and soldiers on the Spanish island and popular tourist destination have been battling the blaze since it started in the mountainous north east of the island on Wednesday.
The fire is centered on the towns of Santa Ursula and La Orotava.
More than 3,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes for safety, the Canary Islands government said.
Both of Tenerife’s airports are currently still operational, Sky News reports.

The same area suffered from terrible wildfires in August, which spread across 14,000 hectares of pine forest and scrubland with 12,000 people evacuated for a number of weeks.
While that wildfire was brought under control, it was never fully extinguished and new small fires have continued to break out in the same area due to the temperatures and high winds.
There are currently around 120 agents, including soldiers and firefighters, taking part in the operation to put out the fire.
The fire is currently affecting an area of about 30 hectares, away from the main tourist areas in the south east of the island.
The island, off Africa’s north west coast, is on alert for high temperatures that are expected to reach 39°C throughout Thursday.
