Notable film producer, Deji Pillot, has commended the streaming platforms, Netflix and Amazon Prime for providing enabling environment for Nigerian filmmakers to tell diverse stories that reflect the rich cultural tapestry of the nation.
According to the CEO of Deji Media Ltd, the transformative influence of streaming platforms on the Nigerian film industry cannot be overemphasized. “With streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, Nigerian filmmakers are poised to continue captivating audiences worldwide and bringing Nigeria’s rich cultural tapestry to the forefront of global cinema. These platforms have injected a fresh wave of investment into Nollywood, allowing us to elevate our production values, experiment with diverse narratives, and showcase our stories to a global audience,” he stated.
