A Victorian hospital that has been abandoned for 30 years and features a creepy pram, eerie staircase and chilling photographs appears frozen in time.
The Order of the Knights of Malta hospital in Mokrzeszów, Poland, also features graffiti, smashed tiles and the ruins of a Victorian chapel.
Built in 1886 it was once called ‘the palace’, and was used as a field hospital for pilots during World War One.
It was the headquarters for the League of German Girls, the girls’ wing of the Nazi Hitler Youth, in 1938, and was later used to house agricultural and horticultural schools.
A private investor bought the building in 1995 and wanted to turn it into a hotel but plans fell through and it has been left abandoned ever since.
Kyle Urbex, from Leeds in West Yorkshire, who is an urban explorer, went to visit the hospital and talked about his experience.
He said: ‘I had already seen a couple of photos of it online so I was pretty excited to be going there.
‘The Victorian-themed decor stood out to me the most on the outside.

‘Then when I went inside, I realised it was a massive place but there wasn’t very much inside.
‘It had all been stripped out but it had retained all of its Victorian features.
‘You can see an old Victorian chapel with stained windows.’
Kyle travels around the world alone and has explored almost 700 abandoned properties in countries including the UK, Poland and France.
But he’s said visiting the hospital was ‘just mesmerising’ and an ‘amazing experience.’

Kyle added: ‘It was an amazing experience because it was in a tiny village in Poland that you can’t even imagine.
‘To find something abandoned in such a tiny place, it’s just mesmerising.
‘It was good seeing all of the decor and the long corridors that have naturally decayed over the years.’
