Investors in the Nigerian equities market enjoyed a profitable week earning a massive N707.61 billion in profit on the trading floor of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) during the period.
The bourse recorded gains in four of the five trading sessions this week as the All-Share Index (ASI) appreciated by 1.19% to close the week at 99,378.06 points from 98,210.75 points recorded the previous week.
The market capitalization crossed the N60 trillion mark to hit N60.2 trillion from N59.5 trillion the previous week.
The performance was buoyed by strong showing from stocks like Gold Breweries African Prudential Insurance,Tantalizers, Aradel and others to lay claims to being named as stocks to watch in the new week.
