Police urge Anambra residents to be security conscious

Anambra State Police Command has urged the residents of the state to be conscious of people living around their neighbourhood in the festive season.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, made the call in a statement on Sunday in Awka, the state capital.

Ikenga also advised the residents to avoid actions that could trigger fire outbreak such as uncontrolled bush burning and dropping of cigarette butts during the harmattan.

He further urged the public against the use of fireworks and other explosives, careless handling of receptacles for trash, poor handling of electrical appliances, among others.

The police image maker asked residents to collaborate with the police command to provide them with the right atmosphere for a smooth festive period.
