Ganduje, Govs mobilize support for APC’s Aiyedatiwa ahead of Ondo polls

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, led a delegation of governors and party leaders to Akure, Ondo State, on Sunday, to mobilize support for governorship candidate Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November 16 election.

Ganduje, accompanied by National Vice Chairman (South-West) Isaacs Kekemeke, Governors Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, and Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, urged party members to unite for victory.

“Our mission is to assure you that our party is solidly behind you,” Ganduje emphasized.

Addressing party members, Ganduje appealed to aggrieved aspirants to shelve misgivings over the party ticket. “There’s no victor, no vanquished in the primary. This is a win-win situation, a big achievement.”

He set an ambitious target: “I’m expecting 90% victory. Conduct house-to-house campaigns, knowing voters in your units.”

Ganduje’s visit aimed to reunify the party, as some aspirants had distanced themselves from Aiyedatiwa’s campaign after losing the governorship ticket.

The APC seeks 100% control of South-West states, starting with Ondo.

The APC’s strategic move reinforces unity and solidarity ahead of the crucial November 16 poll.
