UK weather has made a U-turn back to summer with a mini-heatwave after temperatures plummeted suddenly last week.
But rain is set to move in this weekend, with yellow thunderstorm warnings issued on both Friday and Saturday this weekend.
A yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued across southern and southeast England early on Friday.
‘Frequent lightning, gusty winds and large hail’ are expected to move across the area with up to 25mm of rain falling within in an hour.
Luckily the storms will subside by Friday evening, but scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop and spread northwestwards at times later on Friday night and through Saturday.
The East Midlands, East of England, London and South East England, North West England, South West England, Wales and the West Midlands will all be affected.
