A man allegedly stabbed a laundromat customer because he was angry that his laundry was not yet done.

The customer jumped on the counter of Bath 21 Laundromat and Cleaner in Brooklyn and stabbed a woman employed there just before 2pm on Monday, according to the New York Police Department.

She was stabbed only hours after the man dropped off his laundry.

The man left his load around 7am and returned in the afternoon and stabbed the worker in fury, the laundromat owner told NBC New York.

She was stabbed multiple times and was transported to Lutheran Medical in serious but stable condition, police said. The 50-year-old victim’s name was not immediately released.

The suspect fled on foot north on 21st Avenue by Benson Avenue, police said.

He was described as wearing a gray shirt and white sneakers. He has not been identified.

Photos obtained by the New York Post showed yellow crime tape blocking off a row of machines at the laundromat, as well as a broken knife blade with multiple blood splatters on the ground.

Crime tape also blocked off the entrance to the business.

No arrest had been made as of Monday evening.

It happened just over a month after a man stabbed two people – one fatally – at 303 Laundromat in the Bronx. The suspect was seen carrying shirts as he entered the establishment and then stabbed two men and fled southbound on College Avenue, WABC reported.

A man knifed in the torso, back and leg was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital. The other victim, 47, was in stable condition at the same hospital and was homeless, according to a friend. Cops did not know the motive of the attack.

And in July 2023, a suspect in a bunny onesie was captured on CCTV footage breaking into Winners Wash Laundromat in Quincy, Illinois, and making off with items.
