Twenty-six commissioners and members of the state executive council of Kebbi State were sworn in on Friday.
While swearing in the commissioners at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi, Gov Nasiru Idris charged them to keep to the expectations of the electorate and live up to their assigned responsibilities.
He warned that any of the commissioners who failed to discharge their responsibilities would be removed, just as he directed them to go to their respective ministries and commence work immediately for the betterment of the people of the state.
According to him, their appointments were based on their track records and service to the state.
He enjoined them to mingle with the people in their respective local governments so as to know their needs and challenges for the government to tackle.
“I want you to cooperate with the government to ensure the success of this administration,” he said.
