PDP Gets State Chairmen In Bauchi, Enugu

Mr Sama’ila Adamu Burga has emerged the Bauchi State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the party’ 2024 state congress held at the Emir Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu Square in Bauchi yesterday.

Burga who was the principal private secretary to Governor Bala Mohammed was unopposed along with 38 other members who contested various executive offices in the state party hierarchy.

In a post election speech he spoke of the state executive’s resolve to return the party to governance at both state and national, including the grasp of the presidency comes 2027 polls.

Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has also  elected a new 39-member State Executive Committee with a former commissioner for housing in the state, Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, as the new chairman. The winners were announced by the six-man PDP Enugu State Congress Electoral Committee led by Toni Iyoha.

Others elected during the state congress in the state capital which had Governor Peter Mbah as one of the delegates, were Barr. Stephen Oruruo, Deputy Chairman; Chukwudi Nnadozie, Secretary; Patrick Okoh, Treasurer; Fide Odoh, Legal Adviser; Peace Patrick, Woman Leader; Hon. Ejike Itodo, Financial Secretary; Tobias Odinwakpa, Auditor; Uche Obute, Publicity Secretary; Engr. Onyinye Adibe, Organising Secretary; Hon. Benneth Ajah, Youth Leader; Nnamdi Nwafor, Vice Chairman (Enugu East Zone); Fabian Onah, Vice Chairman (Enugu North Zone), and Ernest Nweze, Vice Chairman (Enugu West).
