APC chieftain urges supporters to respect party leadership’s decision

From Sola Ojo, Abuja

As Ogun State prepares for the local government elections in November 2024, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Gbenga Abraham has praised Governor Dapo Abiodun’s efforts in bringing democratic dividends to the state.

During a meeting with supporters in Ilaro, Yewa South at the weekend, Prince Ekunola commended the governor’s administration for promoting democracy in Ogun State just as he urged his supporters to respect party’s decision ahead of the LG election where he is a potential contestant.

The philanthropist and grassroots development advocate, who has been supporting the less privileged through his Pega Foundation, thanked the APC party leadership, supporters, and stakeholders for their support in his bid to represent the party in the Yewa South Local Government elections.

The meeting aimed to address tensions among supporters regarding an unwritten zoning agreement between Ifekowajo and Ilaro zones in Yewa South Local Government.

Prince Ekunola appealed to his supporters to remain calm and trust the APC leadership and Governor Abiodun’s ability to choose the best candidate for the party and the Yewa people.

He promised to prioritize development in his constituency without discrimination or favoritism if given the opportunity just as he warned against thuggery and hooliganism under the guise of politics.

Prince Ekunola expressed gratitude to attendees, stakeholders, and media crew for their support and professionalism.
