The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the composition of a 19-member Ekiti State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the state chapter.
National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba disclosed this in a Friday statement.
He said the caretaker committee was constituted following the expiration of the tenure of the Ekiti State Executive Committee.
Ologunagba said the NWC constituted the caretaker committee on behalf of the party’s National Executive Committee as stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) of the party’s constitution for a period not exceeding 90 days (three months) or till a new Executive Committee is elected.
The caretaker committee has Chief Dare Adeleke and Hon. Olatunji Dele Ayofe as Chairman and Secretary respectively.
Members of the committee are Hon. Ayodele Joshua, Mr. Agbetuyi Sunday Joshua, Hon. Olonila Ojo Benjamin, Mrs. Mojisola Omotosho, Hon. Ojo Ayeni, Rt. Hon. Abeni Olayinka, Hon. Ademola Alade, and Hon. Afolayan Akutupu.
Also on the committee as members are Hon. Bobby Jeje, Rt. Hon. Sina Animashaun, Hon. Araromi Akindele Samuel, Hon. Festus Idowu Akinbode, and Hon. Ade Fajana.
Other members are Barr. Ayo Oguntuase, Hon. Olanipekun Boboye, Hon Adebayo Jackson, Hon. Ojo Fasasi.
Asabo Ayodeji Victor was appointed as Administrative Secretary of the caretaker committe.
“The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our party in Ekiti State to remain united and continue to work together for the progress of the party,” the statement reads in part.
