A light aircraft crashed into a busy road and the pilot and passenger miraculously managed to escape and survive.
Photos show the pair peering out the window following the crash that happened on the A419 in Gloucestershire at 4.45pm yesterday afternoon.
They were not seriously injured and an air ambulance was stood down after it had arrived at the scene.
A witness said that it ‘looked like it stalled and nose dived into the main road’.
Other photos show tailbacks and traffic building up on the road following the plane crash.
The crash happened close to Aston Down Airfield in Frampton Mansell between Cirencester and Stroud.

‘There were two occupants on board who will be assessed by the ambulance service, and it is understood that no other vehicles were involved.’
The road was closed in both directions.
