Smoke is billowing from the tower block at New Providence Wharf, east London
Another fire has broken out in a building in east London, hours after a tower block in Dagenham was engulfed by flames on Bank Holiday Monday.
Footage circulating on X shows black smoke billowing out of the side of one of the high-rises at New Providence Wharf, near the River Thames.
Flames appear to be raging inside one of the apartments in Charrington Tower, a 44-storey residential block, which was completed in 2016.
A witness who shared the video on social media said: ‘Bannisters and glass falling off the cladding. Entire apartment engulfed in flames.’
London Fire Brigade (LFB) has confirmed that 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines have been deployed to the scene.
