Louise Thompson has felt the wrath of Swifties everywhere after attending a recent Taylor Swift concert despite confessing to not being a fan of the pop superstar.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 34, was lucky enough to receive a complimentary ticket to watch Taylor, also 34, perform the final London dates of her Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium this week.
More than half a million fans from all over the world descended on the capital to watch the Shake It Off hitmaker in action across eight shows, for what will likely be the last time in a long time.
Louise was one of them as she revealed to her Instagram followers that she ‘couldn’t miss out on the spectacle’ – despite not previously being a fan of Taylor’s music.
‘Controversial statement – I am NOT a swifty ‼️’ she captioned the post, which featured images of her in the stands while mingling with Loose Women star Frankie Bridge and former Love Island host Laura Whitmore.
She continued: ‘However, I was invited to be a swifty for one night, and one night only (the final night of her European eras tour I might add) and I found myself unable to say no.

‘I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I couldn’t miss out on the spectacle that has been branded ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE across social media over the entire Summer! I guess it felt like a hot ticket to one of the biggest parties of the year?’
Louise then shared a long list of all the things she did like about the show, including Florence Welch making a surprise cameo on stage, a couple getting engaged right behind her and the wholesome crowd.
The reality TV star heaped plenty of praise on Taylor, adding: ‘- Taylor is a powerful woman and we can all learn something from powerful women.
‘She’s a very skilled musician and song writer. She’s very fit, in both senses of the word.’
Sharing her final thoughts, Louise wrote: ‘I wish I’d known some of the lyrics to sing along. It made me realise I don’t listen to nearly enough radio or pop music.
‘Spotify and YouTube have such a good way (genius algorithm) of serving up things I already really enjoy and that tends to be fairly limited to french rap, hip hop, house, classical or calming jazz.’

Swifties were absolutely up in arms about the fact Louise accepted a ticket knowing that she was unfamiliar with much of Taylor’s music.
Abby Emma Lynch commented: ‘I love you Louise but your post just screams privilege! You were gifted the tickets, your tone is very patronising like you’re somewhat better than listening to “pop songs on the radio”.’
Rosie Harriet also said under the Instagram post: ‘As much as I love you Louise, this is not a flex so many young girls are devastated about not being able to go and openly admitting you’re not a fan is a little insensitive.’
Bex On Fire branded it an ‘entitled post’, while B___Cannon called out celebrities and influencers accepting invites and feeling ‘forced’ to go when they could donate the tickets to charities or disadvantaged children.
Hollie Cummins stated: ‘The amount of young girls who would have gave their life to go to this concert and you’ve just openly said you’re not a swiftie but went anyway. I do really like you and your page, but this is just sad.’
However, Louise had a lot of supporters speaking out in her defence and suggested that the anger was misdirected.
Amy Lev fired back: ‘Where’s this wholesome Community she writes about because they are not here in the comment section!!!! Just because she got a free ticket, so what? She’s entitled to go just as much as any one else, fan or not.’

Pointing out that Louise seemed to have been converted into a fan after the performance, Amy continued: ‘People saying she should give her ticket to a kid and their family. How do you think that’ll work with just one ticket geniuses. it’s all “poor me I couldn’t get tickets”. Sounds like a you problem. If you got offered a ticket try tell me you wouldn’t take it.’
Eleanor Lawrence shared similar sentiments and added: ‘All these swiftys that can’t afford tickets because their billionaire “idol” is charging £400 minimum… so what if it was gifted? Can’t you see the real issue here.’
Also defending Louise was Jordan Nico, who said: ‘The world has gone mad that you’re getting hate for this. Pleased to hear you enjoyed it! I myself once went to Disney on ice with my partner after getting free tickets, not a huge Disney fan but enjoyed it nonetheless. Shame on me for not giving my ticket away.’
Taylor – who became the first female artist to perform eight shows at Wembley Stadium on a single tour – has been credited with boosting the London economy through her staggering ticket sales. Liberal Democrat MP, Sarah Olney, even called for Taylor to receive the prestigious Freedom of the City of London honour.
The Eras Tour will resume in the US on October 18 before coming to an end in December.
